Please read these Terms and Conditions ("Terms") carefully before using GEOTOG ("the App" or "the Service"). By accessing or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By using this App, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and any applicable laws and regulations. If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, you must not use the App.
2. Description of Service
GEOTOG is a professional geolocation and dispatching application that enables users to track positions, manage excursions, and coordinate logistical operations. The Service collects and processes data necessary to provide these features.
3. Data Collection
The App collects various types of data to provide and improve its services:
- Account data: Username, password (encrypted), email, role, and profile information you provide.
- Usage data: Information about how you use the App, including features accessed and timestamps.
- Operational data: Excursion details, bus numbers, codes, events, and related dispatching information.
- Device information: Device type, browser, and technical data needed for compatibility.
4. Offline Functionality
The App supports offline scanning for positioning events (On Parking, Start, Arrival, Check Position). When you are offline:
- Scan data is stored locally in your browser using IndexedDB.
- Data is automatically synced to our servers when your connection is restored.
- Synced data older than 7 days may be removed from local storage.
- You remain responsible for ensuring scans are eventually synced; prolonged offline use may lead to data loss if the device is reset before sync.
By using offline scanning, you consent to this local storage and automatic sync behaviour.
5. Translation Services
When you use the translation feature in Settings → Translations, the App may send text to third-party translation services (such as MyMemory and Google Translate) to provide automatic translations. Text sent for translation is processed by these external providers according to their own privacy policies. We do not control how these third-party services handle the data they receive. Use of the translation feature implies acceptance of this data flow.
6. Geolocation Data
The App collects and processes geolocation data when you use positioning features (e.g., On Parking, Start, Arrival, Check Position). This includes:
- GPS coordinates (latitude and longitude) at the time of scanning or positioning events.
- Timestamps associated with each geolocation event.
- Context data (e.g., excursion ID, bus number) linked to each position.
Geolocation data is used to display positions on maps, track routes, verify attendance, and support dispatching operations. By enabling GPS and using positioning features, you consent to the collection and processing of your geolocation data as described in these Terms and in our data processing practices.
7. Data Processing
We process your data in accordance with applicable data protection laws. Data is:
- Processed fairly, lawfully, and transparently.
- Collected for specified, legitimate purposes and not used in incompatible ways.
- Kept accurate and up to date where necessary.
- Stored securely with appropriate technical and organizational measures.
- Retained only for as long as necessary for the purposes for which it was collected.
Data may be stored on servers within the European Union or in other jurisdictions where adequate safeguards are in place. We do not sell your personal data to third parties.
8. Your Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights including:
- Access to your personal data.
- Correction of inaccurate data.
- Erasure (right to be forgotten) in certain circumstances.
- Restriction of processing.
- Data portability.

9. Account Security
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials. You must not share your username and password with others. You are responsible for all activities under your account.
10. Acceptable Use
You agree to use the App only for lawful purposes and in compliance with these Terms. You must not:
- Use the App for any illegal or unauthorized purpose.
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the App, its systems, or other users' accounts.
- Interfere with or disrupt the App or its infrastructure.
- Transmit viruses, malware, or other harmful code.
- Use the App in any way that could damage, disable, or impair the Service.
11. Intellectual Property
All content, features, and functionality of the App, including but not limited to software, design, text, graphics, and logos, are the property of Ombim@ge or its licensors and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. Unauthorized reproduction or use is prohibited.
12. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Ombim@ge and its affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the App, including but not limited to loss of data, business interruption, or any other damages. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you have paid for the Service in the twelve months preceding the claim, if any.
13. Changes to Terms
We may modify these Terms at any time. We will notify users of material changes by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page or through other reasonable means. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

15. Governing Law
